Since July 31, 2026, the Juan Jorge R is part of the Líneas Romero fleet and operates on one of the most important maritime routes in the Canary Islands: the ferry connection between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
The Playa Blanca - Corralejo route allows you to travel easily between both islands and is an ideal option for both residents and visitors who want to take a getaway to Fuerteventura from Lanzarote or vice versa.

The new Juan Jorge R ferry has been designed specifically for the needs of maritime connections between the Canary Islands. A service aimed at providing comfort, speed, safety, and efficiency on every journey.
The vessel features:
- 31 meters in length and 10.5 meters in beam
- Capacity for 360 passengers
- Two 1,400 HP engines
- Speed up to 20 knots
- GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) construction

Its construction in GRP or glass-reinforced plastic allows reducing the weight of the ferry, promoting lower fuel consumption and optimizing the hull's behavior during navigation.
