In compliance with the principles of legality and transparency and with the aim of providing the information to the interested parties established in articles 13 and 14, we inform you of the characteristics of the processing of personal data carried out under the responsibility of LÍNEAS MARÍTIMAS ROMERO, S.L. (ferries and Excursions on the island of La Graciosa), and VIDEOCOSTA, SL (Excursions in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, WaterBus and Ferry Corralejo - Playa Blanca) with the following scope:

Treatment: (I) Human Resources Management. (II) Web information requests. (III) Newsletter sending. (IV) Tax, accounting and commercial management. (V) Administrative management. (VI) Customer management. (VII) Attention to users' privacy rights. (VIII) Video surveillance.

Purpose: (I) Selection of personnel, training, preparation and sending of payslips, and other documents necessary for the employment relationship. (II) Attending to requests for information received through the website (III) Sending of an electronic newsletter with promotions and news. (IV) Preparation of invoices to clients, preparation of official accounting and calculation, presentation and settlement of taxes, preparation of commercial documents, such as balance sheets and reports. (V) Administrative management involving collections and payments from clients and suppliers, preparation of internal accounting and control of services received. (VI) Registration of clients for accounting and treasury control. Legitimation: (I), (V) and (VI) Application of contractual and pre-contractual measures. (II) and (III) Consent of the data subject. (IV) and (VI) Legal obligation. (VII) Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data. (VIII) Public interest.

Time of conservation: (I) Duration of the employment or service provision contract in question, as well as the period necessary to meet liabilities arising from such contracts. (II) The period necessary to meet the request. (III) As long as the customer does not unsubscribe from any of the shipments received. (IV) and (V) Six years for commercial purposes, and the period necessary to meet liabilities arising from the settlement of taxes. Exercise of rights: You may exercise your right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and opposition to processing, under the terms and conditions set out in the personal data protection regulation Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, by sending a request by email to: LOPD_ARCO@lineasromero.com or in writing to: Avda. Virgen del Mar, 119A, La Graciosa, CP 35540, Las Palmas indicating in all cases the Reference: "Data Protection" together with some document that accredits your identity such as a photocopy of your ID card, as well as to file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

  • (VII) Notify data subjects and the Supervisory Authority of security breaches that may affect the rights and freedoms of data subjects.
  • (VIII) Monitor the condition of assets and facilities by capturing images.

And the use we make of them is exclusively that necessary for each of the purposes, so for example for the verification of the right to the discount as a Canary Islands resident, we send your name and surname and NIF/NIE data to the Ministry of Development to carry out said verification; but except for obligation or to receive a service necessary for the development of our activity we do not communicate or process data for additional purposes.

For how long?

When the processing of data is imposed by a regulation, this regulation normally includes the period during which the data must be processed or stored. Thus, the Commercial Code establishes the obligation to store data for accounting and mercantile purposes for six years, but there are certain cases, such as the application of certain deductions, which require the storage of economic justifications for a longer period, sometimes up to fifteen years.

Disclosure to third parties

As in the previous cases, the data we disclose to third parties is always limited to the minimum necessary.

What security measures do we apply to personal data?

LÍNEAS MARÍTIMAS ROMERO, S.L. has appropriate policies and technical and organisational measures in place to safeguard and protect your personal data against illegal or unauthorised access, accidental loss or destruction, damage, illegal or unauthorised use and disclosure.
